Although
the fort constructed by the Ching Dynasty in 1819 is no longer standing,
modern-day visitors to Beiguan enjoy age-old rock formations and
dramatic cliffs that remain untouched by time. This scenic spot has been
voted one of the top 8 scenic spots in Yilan County and has been rebuilt
into a protected park for all to enjoy.
Honeymoon Bay is close to Dasi
of Toucheng Town, in Yilan County. It is the only sandy beach north of
Beiguan. The bay looks like a crescent. The seawater is clear, and the
beach is soft and flat. Stretching into the sea, this area is an
excellent place for lovers or friends to stroll or have fun together.
There is a field of Ipomoea Pescaprae between the Provincial Highway
No.2 and the banks of the bay. A gigantic ficus tree offers
excellent shade and the beach provides space 200 campers.
From the bay, you can see Turtle
Island in the distance. The beach is good for swimming, fishing, and
diving. Visitors come here to relax and feel refreshed. There is a
reef on both sides of the bay, with a soft, sandy beach in the middle.
The waves in this bay average 1-3 meters. Its the north’s most popular
spot for surfing.

you may consider it with Sea Bank, Wave-Listening Camp, Beach
Playground, and Beiguan. The beach compares with Fu-Long beach.
More plants are required here, and a project could turn this place into
a scenic spot. Sea recreation, diving, swimming, and surfing are
popular activities. The whole family may pick shells or search for sea
life on the beach.
